Rodney's on Broadway is a fine dining restaurant located in a historic home in downtown Georgetown. Chef Rodney Jones is a talented chef with more than 30 years of experience perfecting his craft. He is known for his fresh seafood and mouthwatering Prime Beef steaks. At the Bleubird, you have the opportunity to cook and dine with Chef Rodney!
Once a month, Chef Rodney joins us in the Bleubird kitchen to cook and share his techniques, tips, and tricks of his trade. Guests enjoy watching him cook while learning the art of cooking, and of course, eating the gourmet dishes he prepares.
Rodney's experience with cooking began as a child while cooking with his mother. He shares that his mother was an innovative cook with recipes unlike any other. He learned the love of experimenting and creating new recipes and dishes now unique to his style. Cooking, however, was never his first choice for a career; it just sort of fell into place after he started working in a restaurant at age of nineteen. He had a natural talent for cooking that continued to grow. He says he even studied cookbooks, ingredients, and food pairings.
He has worked under many chefs and spent time traveling to, and working in other restaurants, which taught him to stay true to himself and his own food creations. His distinct and flavorful recipes have been featured in cookbooks, magazines, and newspapers. When joining us at the Bleubird for his cooking courses, you'll be learning from the best!
